The US Marine flag pictured was actually found in perfect condition, retrieved w/great respect from its gutted-out perch at the Pentagon, and ceremoniously delivered by a proud Marine to the Commandant of the Marines. The young Marine, full of Marine Corps pride, said that the unsoiled, un-tattered flag, "stood in defiance" of the terrorists.
